Students in Mrs. Kristin Henderson's American Literature II classes chose a text from the class reading list to remix or reimagine into something new. Students created a variety of projects, including crafting original poetry and short fiction, artistic expressions through paintings and digital imagery, curating musical playlists or mashups of different musical compositions, creating video shorts, and even creating a roller coaster ride based on a text. Included with the projects are the students' explanatory essays addressing their inspiration and vision for the project, including an explanation of their choices and a discussion of how their choices in the remix relate to, expand on, or purposefully stray from the original.
