Students in the HUM 298M (or Classic Movie Series) course have created digital projects that remix/reimagine a scene from a film of their choice. In their remix/reimagine, they were to think about film elements such as mise-en-scène, cinematography, sound, style, and editing and how changing these elements could lead to a meaningful adaptation of their scene. In addition to their interpretation in art, they were to write an explanation that answered the following questions:
This project encouraged students to show an appreciation for film, apply film knowledge gained from the course, analyze film sequences to show how filmmakers create meaning, and create a well-written and interactive project for academic and civic communities.
