What Will it Be?

New Mascot Contest

Remember students, the deadline for the Mascot Contest is approaching soon. If a winner is selected, the student with the winning design will receive a tuition and fee waiver for one semester at Jefferson State. Don’t miss out on your chance to leave a legacy behind and get some free classes along the way!

The contest is open until March 27. Students should submit a design of their choice along with a narrative explaining their artwork and what it means to Jefferson State. Ideas can come from anywhere except other Alabama community colleges, so take a walk around campus and check out the scenery. Try to name your creation and imagine how it can fit into all disciplines offered at Jefferson State.

School colors are staying Raisin (purple) and Slate (grey) and it is encouraged to incorporate these colors into the design. The contest is for the mascot only. The school’s logo will remain the same. Entries will be evaluated by administration to select choices for consideration. A final vote will be held in April to include students, staff, and faculty.
