Placement Test Preparation
During the enrollment process, you may be asked to take one or more ACCUPLACER® tests — placement tests that help academic counselors determine the level of coursework that’s right for you — in math, reading, and writing. Getting your best score on an ACCUPLACER® test will help to ensure that your educational path is aligned with your current skill level. Smarthinking
Smarthinking is available to all Jefferson State English and Math students. View the brochure for additional information.
Smarthinking's tutors work with students online using a virtual whiteboard. Students can also submit questions offline at anytime and a tutor will respond within 24 hours.

Accurate placement in college-level math courses is crucial. So, before you take the math portion of the ACCUPLACER test, be prepared!
