Policies for Students' Return to the Learning Success Centers

  • The following guidelines are in place in an effort to protect both staff and LSC users.
  • The LSC social distancing and sanitation guidelines do not guarantee the safety of any LSC user and users should understand the risks inherent in using the LSC spaces.
  • Per the college's 2021 COVID-19 Protocols, students will be required to complete the temperature screening as they enter the Learning Success Center.  If a student has a temperature greater than or equal to 100.4 °F (38°C), he/she will not be allowed to stay. 

Campus LSC Spaces

  • Students should expect strict social distancing and sanitation guidelines to be in place regarding access and use of all campus LSC spaces.
  • Access to LSC spaces will be limited.
  • Social distancing protocols will be in place and strictly enforced.
  • Students should expect to encounter staff wearing masks and gloves.
  • Students are strongly encouraged to wear masks during any encounter with staff and/or other users.


  • Access to computers will be limited and all social distancing protocols will be strictly observed.

The Learning Success Center (LSC) is designed to promote access to computer technology, online resources and instructional programs to both college students and community residents in support of achievement of their academic career or life goals.   From students needing to improve study habits, to individuals identifying learning strengths and weaknesses, to striving to create a sensitive environment that is conducive to learning by providing multifaceted academic, and professional support to students,   staff, and faculty of Jefferson State Community College. Computer-assisted instruction, tutorial sessions and seminars are just a few of the tools used for educational development. Individual programs can be designed to address academic concerns for a unique learning experience.
