The women’s golf team at Jefferson State Community College has been extremely impacted by COVID-19. Not only did it interrupt our season, but it also seized our chances to qualify for nationals. In the two tournaments we attended, we were able to bring home two second place wins.
The spring season was something to look forward to for us. We had high hopes to make it to nationals. Despite the disappointment, the women’s golf team was grateful for our first two tournaments, considering two girls graduated this spring.
In the fall, the golf team will have two returning players, Hayley Morris and Elly Truxal, and will be bringing in three new players, Jade Morris, Miranda Nasif, and Julee Turner. We are looking forward to getting back into the swing of things with a big fall season ahead of us.
The team currently has four tournaments scheduled for the fall season. We will be hosting our own Jeff State tournament on October 25th-27th at Robert Trent Jones Trail at Oxmoor Valley. The women’s golf team is proud to be a part of Jeff State and ready to bring home some wins! Go Pioneers!
