About the libraries

The Learning Resource Centers [JSCC Libraries] support the educational needs of all members of the college community - students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests. The Libraries have four physical locations with networked computer areas for student use, printing and copying services, designated periodicals area, and study tables and carrels.  Our collection of print and electronic books, journals, research databases, streaming video and other media, has been developed to enhance the curriculum, and library staff are available to assist users with accessing and using these resources.

Mission

The primary purpose of the Learning Resource Centers is to provide library/learning resources and services to support students, faculty, and staff in enhancing and achieving their goals consistent with higher education.

Service Unit Outcomes

  1. Provide access to library/learning resources, materials, and services.

  2. Provide collections sufficient in quality, depth, diversity, format, and currency to support the college’s initiatives.

  3. Provide instruction as it relates to the ability to find, evaluate, organize, use, and communicate information in its various formats.
