As a Federal Depository Library, the Jefferson State Libraries have a legal requirement to make Government publications available for the free use of the general public.

About the libraries

The Learning Resource Centers [JSCC Libraries] support the educational needs of all members of the college community - students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests. The Libraries have four physical locations with networked computer areas for student use, printing and copying services, designated periodicals area, and study tables and carrels.  Our collection of print and electronic books, journals, research databases, streaming video and other media, has been developed to enhance the curriculum, and library staff are available to assist users with accessing and using these resources.

Mission

The primary purpose of the JSCC Libraries is to provide library materials, services, and facilities necessary to support the College’s instructional programs, to meet student course and non‐course related library needs, and to meet administrative and public service requirements. In addition, the libraries accept the responsibility for providing materials and services to all members of the College community including traditional and nontraditional students, online, and distance learners.
