The Chicago Manual of Style
The Chicago of Manual of Style is the venerable, time-tested guide to style, usage, and grammar. It is the indispensable reference for writers, editors, proofreaders, indexers, copywriters, designers, and publishers.
In addition to providing rules for grammar, style, and usage, this manual also discusses the parts of a book and the editing process. This style manual is used in some social science publications, including most North American historical journals, the American Anthropological Association, the Organization of American Historians, and many corporate style guides, including that for Apple.
The seventeenth edition was released in 2017. This page contains information about the updates to the guide as well as effective ways to use the information in student papers. Please contact the library if you have any questions.
