Jefferson State Men2Men [M2M] is a collaborative relationship between Jeff State faculty, staff, and students focused on providing tailored programming and resources to meet the intrapersonal, interpersonal, and academic needs of African American male students enrolled at JSCC.

Mission

Jefferson State M2M exists to provide a network of support to help African American male students acclimate to, and succeed in college, while balancing the demands and stressors of life.

Program Goals

The ultimate goal of M2M is to improve retention, persistence, and graduation rates for African American male students at Jeff State. To this end, M2M seeks to:

  • Provide mentoring support by Jeff State faculty and staff members.
  • Provide networking opportunities with peers, faculty and staff, and community members.
  • Provide enrichment activities to develop skills necessary for matriculation through college.
  • Foster skills and abilities to navigate academic processes.
  • Provide resources and support to help students thrive within and outside of the academic environment.

Note:  M2M is open to all who desire to participate but an increased focus is on African American males enrolling at Jefferson State Community College for the first time.
