Prepare for the WorkKeys Assessments

WorkKeys®, a series of job skills tests, are used by companies nationwide to choose qualified people during the hiring process and later on to train and develop their staff. Consider preparing for one or more WorkKeys® exam while you’re still in college. It will help you:

  • Get your foot in the door during a job search. You’ll already have your WorkKeys® scores to show that you have the specific skills needed for the positions and industries you’re targeting.
  • Improve your skills. By working through practice questions—which are based on everyday, on-the-job scenarios, just like the official exams—you’ll get experience solving real-world problems.
  • Earn the ACT National Career Readiness Certificate™, a credential that you can use throughout your career.

Get started on PrepStep:

Take WorkKeys® Applied Mathematics Practice Test 1, WorkKeys® Locating Information Practice Test 1, and/or WorkKeys® Reading for Information Practice Test 1.

After each practice test, review your score report, which breaks down your performance in specific areas. Read through the answer explanations to the questions you got wrong or weren’t sure about. Then use the practice sets, eBooks, and tutorials in the Core English Skills Review and Core Math and Science Skills Review centers to target the topics in which you received your lowest scores.

If you’re preparing for the WorkKeys® Locating Information exam, download Visual Communication to improve your skills using maps, tables, charts, diagrams, blueprints, whiteprints, and other visual tools.

Take WorkKeys® Applied Mathematics Practice Test 2, WorkKeys® Locating Information Practice Test 2, and/or WorkKeys® Reading for Information Practice Test 2. The score reports will show your progress as well as the skills you need to improve before test day. Be sure to read through all of the answer explanations for your correct and incorrect answers, and return to specific categories of the Core English Skills Review and Core Math and Science Skills Review centers as needed.

Are you preparing for other WorkKeys® assessments? Be sure to take advantage of the two complete practice tests available for the Applied Technology, Business Writing, and Listening for Understanding assessments.
